About Me

3D DIGITAL ARTIST

While I may not have planned on becoming a 3D Digital Artist, I have always had a passion for art.  I have always loved drawing and my parents noticed my talent at a young age and enrolled me in art classes at the age of 5 and a half.  Ever since then I have continued to work at honing my artistic skills by taking art classes all throughout elementary school, junior high, and high school.

My art has even made it into the art shows at my high school multiple times. The above picture is one of the pieces I drew for

my portfolio when applying to RIT.

Extracurricular Activities

While art has always been the one thing I have wanted to do with my life, I have also participated in many other activities.  I started playing the Alto Saxophone in elementary school and continued all the way to marching band in high school and even became Assistant Drum Major my senior year.  I joined Cub Scouts in second grade, continued on to Boy Scouts and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout.  I helped out with stage crew for my school's plays and musicals my sophomore and junior year and even tried my hand at acting in the play my junior year and both the play and musical my senior year.

Mythological Creature

Historical Caricature

The goal of this project was to choose a mythological or literary creature and then use the different imaginings of the creature to create one sculpt. I chose the Kraken. This was sculpted and textured in ZBrush, rendered in Keyshot, and then composited onto the background image in Photoshop.

This goal of this project was to take a historical or political figure and do a 30 minute speed sculpt of that figure as a caricature in ZBrush. I chose to do Vincent van Gogh and tried to stay true to the style of how he painted. The sculpt would be worked on and refined until hair needed to added which was done with FiberMesh in ZBrush.  The sculpt was then composited onto a background in Photoshop and a filter was added to it to capture van Gogh's brush strokes.

  • Group Project (Sketches)

Character design first planned around an oceanic world with red-orange and red-violet tones. My character is the large ammonite known as the Ancient One

  • Group Project (Mudbox Sculpt)

The characters were then modeled in Maya and then further sculpted and textured in Mudbox.  Normal and displacement maps exported for texture and depth.

  • Group Project (Final Render)

My sculpt was touched up in ZBrush and then rendered with KeyShot. Finally it was composited onto a background in Photoshop to give it context within the world that was imagined.
